Names' Problem

Hi!! I was playing a 2001 mod and since Hockenheim Zonta replaced Freantzen at Jordan, and in the preformance files its Zonta's name and you see Zonta's helmte, but in the grpahics name it says Frentzen ,and the same with Burti and Mazzacane in Prost, do you know what could be the problem?....Thanks in advance

Are you sure, that the Hockenheim performance file is really used? If so, the TV-graphics might show Zonta's name, actually.

Yes, the performace file clearly shows Zonta's name. But if GP4 displays Frenzen's name, it is quite obviously, that your mod does not use this performance-file. I bet there is a generic season-performance file in your mod, which is used instead .

Yes, I see thatin the GPSet , before the race start I can't find any performance file from 2001 season, but ther is a performance folder with race by race performance...

About you can´t find the perf files, when csm loads, it copies them from the mod folder to the GpxPatch folder, so maybe you´ll find them there, it is defined in the file swap.ini of the mod:

If you run a full season, performance used on Race 1 will be used throughout the season, if I'm not mistaken

the name saga..I noticed today that in the GP4 starting grid (before the race itself start)you see the correct names (Frentzen in Prost, Alesi in Jordan) but when yo go to the race, the names ara again wrong...mistery :-P...any ideas?

Did you drive a training or qualifying session as well? Were the names right there? And did you already tried to use your performance file only with GPxPatch? I don't know why GP4 uses different names for qualifying and race then. It should be the same as there is only set one name per car in the performance file.

Yes, I'm doing a championship season...and your second question, I don't know...when I try to find the txt files via GPx Patch before the game, I can't find them

If you start a non-championship race or a full championship you can't change the names.
