Hey there!

As some of you may know, even if not really active on the forums nowadays, I've been trying to keep my modding activities up and alive, at least for the 1993 and 1994 seasons. And here comes the latest addition for these mods, and possibly other early 90s ones: a super-hi-res Arai GP-3 helmet shape and template. I've been working on this on and off for a while, and finally it's ready to see the light of day! An immense thank you goes to Ulf "Alesi_fan", that has helped me a lot with his advice and with the great face and balaclava shapes and textures included in the final release. The package includes both a hard visor and a transparent visor version, and the "source" ZModeler file has a vent-less version, plus the great 3D balaclavas by Ulf.
Once again, files are available to download on MediaFire, but anybody who is willing to host them is welcome to do so. Just contact me to let me know, it would be greatly appreciated!

@Diego

Welcome back and I just love it :)

Quick question:
1) Are you planning to convert all 1993 helmet textures into a new mapping format shortley?
2) Do you also have a plan to release Sauber C12?

Cheers :)

Thank you guys, glad you like it! :-)

@Math
Sorry, it was a top-secret project! ;)

@Jurgen
thanks for hosting the file! My inbox should be free again now.

@ColdBlood
Thanks mate! All 1993 helmets will eventually be converted for this new shape. I just don't know when it's going to happen.
As of the C12, it's the next one in my to-do list

Superb to have you back Diego. Very nice surprise your release of this Arai GP-3.

Could you tell what is the real release year of this helmet? Used until what year?

Thanks!

Kerley, I'm not 100% sure, but I'm going to say it's been used from 1991 to 1996 ;-)

Does anyone know which year each new Arai model came into use? We have the Arai GP-3, GP-5 and GP-6 but I don't know when they each first started to be used?

Öggo says above that GP-3 are used from 1991 to 1996.

GP-5 I don't know exactly. Maybe start in 2007?

GP-6 I think is from maybe 2010?
