GPGSL S9 R17 - British GP - Silverstone - Beware of exploding TNRs! [RACE ON-LINE!!!! P62 & 63!!!!][Deadline sending cars & helmets for S10: 1st of March 2015]

Bitterly disappointed with that first lap...
Better improve for the next race

@mortal
I see a typo in my forum name on the team waiting list (mika2000milos->miki2000milos)
Also I mentioned the team nationality is Monaco. If my nationality is needed instead, I'm Serbian, but I'd prefer the team to be from Monaco (as it's a tradition on another forum) :-)

I fixed the typo but I cannot find your flag. Maybe Stu can do it later. :-) Check the teams listing for test vacancies and apply to the team owners for a drive in S10.

I have already started looking for a test drive, but haven't got a reply from the team boss yet. Expecting it tomorrow or I'll apply for another team.
But why can't I drive the last race of season 9? :-)

You can drive the last race of season 9 if you find a team owner who will give you a seat for the last race and you will have to submit a helmet to Ruben (TurboLover) within the next 2-3 days so that it can be included in the mod.

Also, I've included the flag.

And on a personal notice, I'm back from Italy.

Helmet is not a problem for me, I have already made one for that template for a different forum game (on another forum) ;)

You first have to have a confirmed seat, and submit a helmet which has to be inserted into the mod, and it is doubtful you could enter the series so late anyway as a lot of work is required not just for the mod but the results tables as well.
Far better to start in S10 given what needs to be done ok. Everything is done on a voluntary basis and putting an extra work load on now is a bit much, given that it's also Christmas and everyone wants to spend time with family and friends.
During the off season activity checks are closed and announcements are made in the topic header, if any. Teams release renders of new season liveries and maybe updated helmets from drivers. All these have to be submitted to Ruben who builds the new season mod on his own time.
Be patient, we try to move to the next season as soon as we can.

Your flag link is not usable as it is not the correct size, there is a site we use for flags but I cannot find the link.....yet.

Ah cool then.. I'll be a bit more patient with my entry ;)

What's the issue, Mal? I got the flag in already.

Otherwise, the link is: http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/misc/wmc.gif

Nice work John, I couldn't find that. :-)

I didn't even bother to check the site itself but took the link from the Nations Cup thread ;)

I was going to say that ;)

As for the race, I desperately lack of power :( I can't get faster.

Isn't that much of work with the tables Mal, we had so many driver changes this season, you could even say it's the same as for any other round ;)

Some mods
F1 1996 | F1 2002 | F1 2007 | F1 2011 | F1 2013 | F1 2015 | F1 2018
So it would be simple for me to join in Silverstone yes or no? (I mean.. if I find a team that is)

If you find a team yes. I highly doubt it would be a race seat, but I'm sure you could secure a test drive for Silverstone. And I believe Greg is planning to run a feature race for the testers at Silverstone, so you would get a taste of race action.

Not a good start for me but the race is long

My GPGSL Career
Good start of the race. Keep this momentum and a podium finish should be possible.

GPGSL Rd 16 French GP - Race Day

Part 2

Welcome back.

We return from the break to find Rodriguez having another attempt at getting by Scala.

Once again, Scala is able to stay ahead.

Van Renselaar is doing well so far to hold onto 3rd, but he can’t forget about Greidanus behind him.

Rodriguez tries again to get by the VSM.

This time, he finally makes the move stick.

Scala now needs to watch out for the JHR behind him.

Moinet isn’t the only one Scala will need to be aware of.

While Scala has his own battles to deal with, the other VSM of Warrington is having a hard time keeping up with the car ahead of him.

Back to the front of the field, we can see that Greenhalgh is continuing to extend his lead.

Scala really has his hands full having to defend from not one, but two cars.

As we go onboard with the VSM, let’s check out the current standings.

Here’s a replay of what happened to Scala while we were seeing the standings.

Gilson is trying for a passing attempt on Maverick.

Unfortunately, the SCR driver isn’t able to get by this time.

Now Gilson will need to watch out for the cars behind him.

Greenhalgh’s lead has extended once again.

Cartwright has managed to get by Cremasco.

Running slightly wide is not the way to hold onto a position. Cremasco now takes his chance to regain 9th back.

Cremasco got his position back, and even Karjalainen has managed to get by. And Cartwright is still out too wide and may lose yet another position.

Thankfully, Cartwright was able to get himself back online and stay ahead of Kederer.

Horvath tries for his chance to get by Kederer, but the Shadow driver is just a bit too quick and is able to stay ahead.

At the rear of the field, not much has changed.

Kederer has a look up the inside of Cartwright.

The pass doesn’t work out for Kederer as Cartwright succeeds in defending his position.

Let’s check out the current standings as we go onboard with Kederer.

The pitstops are now underway as Greenhalgh is the first of the front runners in.

He rejoins in 18th.

Horvath and Nell are in for their stops, while Legge rejoins after taking his stop.

Horvath and Nell rejoin right down the order.

Jalving now comes in for his stop.

Meanwhile, Greidanus is trying for a pass on Van Renselaar.

And it works out for the Shadow driver, who now takes over the lead.

Scala must surely be feeling the pressure being applied by Moinet.

Jalving rejoins in 13th.

Cremasco, Cartwright and Allington all rejoin after taking their stops.

Kittleson and McCarthy now rejoin the track after taking their stops.

Greidanus now takes to the pits for his stop.

That leaves Rodriguez free to challenge Van Renselaar.

Rodriguez has done it.

Greidanus heads out of the pits after completing his stop, and it looks like he has managed to jump Jalving.

Maverick and Gilson now have their stop completed.

Van Renselaar is now in for his stop.

Surely now is Moinet’s best chance to get by Scala.

They go side by side.

But it is Scala who manages to stay in front. Meanwhile, the timing shows that Kederer is in for his stop.

Van Renselaar rejoins.

So too does Kederer.

Whatever has happened to Gilson? He was behind Maverick not too long ago, now he is down in 20th. Can the race get any worse for the championship leader?

Rodriguez is in for his stop.

Moinet now leads, but he still needs to make his stop.

Scala is in 3rd, behind Karjalainen. It seems the cameras missed how the VSM driver lost the positions.

The timing shows that the top 4 have all pitted together.

Greenhalgh is now back in the lead.

Moinet and Scala are the first two to rejoin.

This isn’t looking too good for Scala.

As a result of running slightly wide, Scala has lost a handful of positions and could lose a few more.

All drivers have now completed their stops, so let’s take a look at the current standings.

Time now for yet another break. We hope to be soon.

The team did an excellent job with the pit call.
