PO estimate required for a new PC

I'm planning to buy a new PC based on:

Core I3-3250 3,5 GHz
Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti OC

I'm interested to get an estimation about PO with maximum quality graphics settings (1920x1080) based on similar PC configuration.

Thanks in advance to anyone that will give me an estimation based on PO.

Hi Sergio

I run a similar computer I built a month or two ago

It is a INTEL 1150 PENTIUM G3420 3.2 GHz
For GFX I also run a Nvidia GT730 2GB DDR3 ...Yours is higher end & has DDR5 memory I think right?
I am Running only 4GB 1600 RAM & it is fine
I use a Solid State hard drive

I also run 1920x1080 resolution

I use full max graphics & usually full 60fps

My PO is average 35% for hotlapping & maybe 45-65% races with full fields but usually much lower
Of course at times if I use external camera views to watch races I see tiny short spikes depending on
surroundings & amount of cars also I do use all Lod_0
but these spikes are very very short & usually up to 100% at times but no problems in sim & no stuttering at all etc.
As spikes are a second at most & never prolonged

Here is a comparison of your CPU & mine
[ark.intel.com]
I think you will have no problems at all with yours ;-)

Thanks for your answer.

If it is possible, I kindly ask you some other few questions:

- Which Antialiasing and Anisotropic level are you using ?
- Can you send me ( sergio_poletti@yahoo.it ) some your GP4 cockpit view screenshots at best graphics level (F11 key) in a race position near to a camber.
This is a position where on my old PC images of cambers are very jagged (I'm using Antialiasing = 2X and Anisotropic 0X).

Best regards.

Hi sergio

No problem but I will show here since I can put on free host site

On my Anisotropic it is 8x & Antialiasing 4x
I am not well informed about this & just tried some settings
Actually I can let Nvidia decide too & it also looks fine to me compared to what I had before this computer
Others here on this forum are better to ask about settings than I in regards to these new gfx cards
There are so many settings to play with ;-)

On these pics you said in cockpit so that is what I have shown
I also left a menu running on left side so you can see frame rates/ CPU load etc

Lastly these pics are just as shown in game..Meaning I did not adjust any color or light levels etc. of the screen capture afterwards

Hi Flying,

this morning looking at your images on my Full HD TV I noticed that there are still some small jaggs on the curved lines that delimited the road with a PO 80% on the last image.

I assure this is my last request to you.

In order to evaluate the best graphics results I'll can get from my future PC graphics card I kindly ask if you could post some images reporting the PO taken in a race position near to a camber using:

Anisotropic 8x & Antialiasing 8x

And optionally:

Anisotropic 12x & Antialiasing 12x (if available on your GT730)
Anisotropic 16x & Antialiasing 16x (if available on your GT730).

Thanks in advance,
Sergio.

Yes Sergio like I said I am not the best one for graphics setting & there are folks that can wring
out the good of any card better than I :)

But I will try to get you some shots later today
Yes my card supports those numbers you listed although in
Antialiasing it goes 2x,4x,8x,8xCSAA,16xCSAA, 16xQ CSAA, 32x CSAA

Anisotropic has 2,4,8 & 16x

So no 12 for either settings :)

But mainly I do not think you have any problems with what your proposing to build & these settings are but
a few in many others also many other settings in both antialiasing & ansiotropic
but again I am not one to ask as I do not fiddle much with them because my screen looks very nice to my eyes as is.

Although I have asked about that jagged line before

On the PO% rates you saw that was in part due to in cockpit with visor view I think & normally
when I view it is quite lower but of course depends on scene rendered
But I never have so much as a stutter or stumble anywhere in sim which is nice

I will try to get that 16x pics for you soon

Here you are Sergio & not great IMO

Again for nvidias recommendation at least on my pc for this sim is
8x anisotropic & 4x antialias
I do not find the higher settings as shown in these any better really

Would have taken more but while doing this I guess I accidentally enabled tweaker real time edit & have wrecked most of my camera settings by
pushing the wrong keys :)
So will work on restoring these for a bit

Lastly as I said before you should not really judge by my settings etc as many here really understand gfx cards & can adjust the many many other settings & .cfg file for results

Good Luck

Here is 8xansio & 8xCSAA antialias

The 2nd pic is 16x ansio & 16xQ CSAA antialias

Good Luck

Sergio What do you think of these?
Better?

Today I noticed new drivers & also tried adjusting the global settings a bit more

Not sure but to my eyes it is sharper less jagged. I always notice mainly two things...The track edge line edge
& around the mirrors.
To my eyes these do seem better compared to those pics above
What do you think?

Hi Flying,

I agree with you, the track edge line and edge around the mirrors looks better.

Based on the graphics and info and pics you send me I selected my new PC, not a desktop but a notebook with specs near to your PC.

The Notebook is an Acer V3 772G (I5-4200M, GT750M with 4GB graphics memory).

I faced a problem with Windows 8.1, GP4 is not able to use the GT750M, but it use always the integrated Intel HD4000, I'll work on tihis problem, when I'll be able to fix it I'll send you my graphics results.

Best regards,
Sergio.
