question about HOFxLapw

Hi,

Can someone tell me....
In HOFxLapw when looking at 2 different hotlaps
that both used the same setup

In the section that shows wheels settings (packers,dampers etc. )
At the end there is some kind of number in brackets like this [0.07]

What is that & should it be the same for two hotlaps if same car,track,setup etc ?

The reason I ask is... I saved a hotlap to later extract what I thought was a better setup
Later after I saved hotlap I exited sim & did not save sim changes because I also wanted the original setup
which I had changed in cockpit

Afterwards I look at two hotlaps but they both have same setup settings except that bracketed number
Now I am wondering

Can anyone explain? Mainly what the bracketed number represents &
does a changed setup if changed in cockpit not show in HOFxLapw?

Assuming you're talking about the numbers circled here:


Those represent your plank wear at the end of the lap, assuming I'm reading the HOFxLap Documentation correctly.

Don't worry, I missed in my first few skim reads;

In the 'Output' section, there is a list - in the form of a line - that starts "Setup:"

About half-way along there, there is the start of another list called "Wheel settings:", which shows that the last part of that section, after the ride height - which is a pretty easy number to spot in the file - is the plank wear.

I've been meaning to edit some of the help files - and through some pictures in - just to make things a bit clearer for my own use but, if I ever get around to doing 'em, I'll upload 'em here.

My reading to blame & for some reason although I read that section
quite a few times I for some reason
thought the bracketed section was some kind of sum total or verification
type number.

So it had me wondering if I was using the setup I thought or not.
