Oh, stop it.

I've got a task for you to keep you occupied; go get a dictionary and look up the word "patience". It might be helpful.

Good thing you said haha ;)
Once again, I feel like I have to say this every race ;), sorry for the delay. Food poisoning and assessed seminars are apparently not a good mix... I'll try my best to get the rankings out by the end of the week :)

Seems like good idea, well don't worry for that, but don't give up :)
Trident Racing

Well, after a delay of this weekend's Monaco GP, we might expect our Team Rankings shortly.
Hope this isn't dead again...

Not dead just horrifically busy. In all honesty it is unlikely I'll be able to get around to the perf for the next fortnight.

So we could expect a F1 Manager break lol ;)
Ok, just so you know, we have to be patient, it is unlikely for perf with owner. I hope he could be back before he doesn't get busy.
Well then guys good news!

Essays are now done so I'm a free man once again for a few weeks. At the moment however, in an attempt to avoid delays such as this in future, I'm in the process of transferring all the data for your team rankings into an automated spreadsheet so I don't have to spend a hour and half every race calculating each bit and putting into a text file. Once that's done we'll be good to go so stay tuned (Y)

I already said it afor Monaco but as I didn't see any reaction I'm saying it again: I'm retiring from the series. Participating in two leagues is good enough, gotta leave some space to someone.

Sorry Matteo I missed you announcement after Monaco. It'd be a shame to lose another one of the originals but I understand why. One question though are you stepping down immediately or at the end of the season? Just need to figure out who to send the team rankings to ;)

EDIT: Also there will be a brief delay either way as Pluis has also handed in his resignation from Super Agrui so we'll need to figure out whose taking up the reigns there as well before proceeding.

I'd rather let it now than keep it up for the rest of the season (as long as it is).

Good to hear that you have a bit of free time again to continue this (Y)

Waiting list of the '06 thread says that Dan and Seb should be next to get to manage a F1 team ;)

Okay Matteo thanks for letting us know.

That means we have vacancies at both Williams and Super Aguri and, as per procedure, not only may the first two managers on the waiting list - in this case being Mr Paddock and Mr Nell - but any of the current F1 managers may also apply for either seat.

I'll give managers 72 hours to choose whether or not they want to apply after which seats will be assigned.

However, especially with Super Aguri now open, this would be a wise time to reveal my big plan to help the smaller teams in the field which managers may want to keep in mind before completely ruling out a switch. The proposal is as follows:

Quote

- For 2008, the bottom four placed teams in the 2007 WCC will be given an opportunity to sign up to a engine development program for 2008.

- This program will bring a number of benefits to these smaller outfits namely that:

1) The cost of upgrading engines for the duration of the 2008 will be cut by half

2) Drivers competing for these teams will receive double the experience they normally would until the end of the 2008 season

3) Drivers will also receive for performance points regardless of where they finish i.e. Finishing 1st would result in a 22 point gain rather than the standard 15, whilst finishing 22nd would give 1 point rather than none for every race in 2008.

- In addition, the best placed team from this group will be given the opportunity to resign onto the program for 2009 and beyond, until they fail to beat their previous seasons WCC position.

- Finally this is program will be available to the four bottom placed teams in the WCC in every season from now on.

My hope is with this rule is that we can help make it easier for the smaller teams to stay in touch, without making too easy to jump from the front to the back of the field.

That's an interesting proposal to bring the pack close together. Bearing in mind how hard it is for the midfield teams to beak into the points this could end up being a long term project, but I'm also a bit concerned that as the team currently day in 7th place I could get overwhelmed by the teams below.
