Team specific steering wheels

Does anyone know if it is possible to enable specific steering wheels per team, so each team will have their own.

I am enquiring this for a MOD not just installing into the game.

Of course they have, that's why it's a known fact that it's not possible. Until we get our hands on the source code, which is never going to happen.

3D helmet/wheel combo makes it sort of possible. rracunis is your man nowadays. Let's not forget that the idea was in the gp4.gamers.nl 2004 mod too

Madman was working on the tweak to have team specifig steering wheels and he had made it work...sadly he left returned,left,returned and left again so no gp4tweaker has been released in years.

a long time ago i played with a russian 2006 f1 mod. Somehow there was different external steering wheels in this mod.

So we wait for Madman's returning and then we will ask him for the tweak.

Yeah I have a CSM MOD with only the EXTERNAL steering wheels specific for each team and driver , in 2013 all were updated , this year I have tried to keep helmets updated but few steering wheels and gloves are updated . The tweaks , however , are updated to the 2014 cars .

When it's possible to have different steering wheels for each team, why shouldn't it be possible that every team has different types of tyres? Is there any tweak avaible for that?

Graphics and game behaviour are two dead seriously different things. With a tweak it could be possible to have more than 2 types of tyres in the graphic apperance, but it would be impossible to simulate 'hard' and 'soft'-tyres for sure.

You can't have different steering wheels for teams, you can only set up mods to automatically load the steering wheel of the selected team, but ingame all teams will have the same wheel.

As I said in the previous post , you can have the EXTERNAL steering wheel specific for each team but you have to make many modifications in the CSM to load the steering wheels and helmets properly .

I only want the graphic appearance. Do you know if there is already a tweak avaible?

Do we talk about the car's tyres? If so, there is a possibillity to have two different tyre textures in-game. In the performance file you can find this editable section:

[Tyres]
Team #00=1
Team #01=1
Team #02=0
Team #03=0
Team #04=1
Team #05=1
Team #06=1
Team #07=1
Team #08=0
Team #09=0
Team #10=0

It was originally implemented for the Bridgestone ("1" and the Michelin tyres ("0". By editing these values you can give different tyres to the teams. But of course there are limitations:
1. Not more than two different types are possible.
2. The values are static. So, it still is impossible, that the teams change between 'hard'- and 'soft'-tyres within a race.

I think there is no tweak to expand this behaviour. At least I don't know one.
