GPG Nations Cup S4 R17 - European GP [RACE ONLINE! | S5 carshape & tyre suppliers announced]

Posted by GPG_Nations_Cup
A massive shame for us today, but we'll be back in the first race and we'll be looking to shuffle the order again there
Ooh, big smash. Early reports say Ihara san is perfectly ok, but Parabolica seems to be catching out many drivers. Shame really, but a non-competitive race. I hope that is the majority of bad luck out of the way this season

Bad driver that Briere guy ;)
I'm glad this is not a championship race. Bad pace for Graham-Ayrton at the moment. Hopefully he can improve soon in what seems to be a very very long race.

Not ideal ;)

Hatfield is doing well so far

But he just lost crontrol of his car

He is able to return to the track

Amazing race so far by Poirier, he gained twelve places

Frutiger-Füssli is not able to handle the car at the turn and lost his position to Kuei

Paddock tries to attack Girard again

He makes the pass

Nikolov overtaking Tafuro

Taytoh also getting close to the Italian

And he passed Tafuro after one lap

Silvestre overtakes De Boer without ay problem

Looks like De Boer has some problems with his car, luckily for him he was already scheduled to make the pit stop in this lap

Paddock and Girard are also able to overtake the Dutchman before he gets to the pits

Silvestre is the first one to pit

And De Boer is the second, but wait a minute, they share the garage, this could be a problem

Nikolov enters the pit too as Taytoh makes the fastest lap so far

De Boer is still in the pits, almost a minute there

USA, Canada, Ireland and Italy going for their breaks

Domenech is finally catching up with Cremasco, but he has to pit at the end of this lap

And here he goes, together with Portugal, GBR, Monaco, China

Girard is taking a field trip

This is going to cost him some time

The leader is finnally entering the pits, after him are France, Korea

And here are the standings after the first round of pit stops

Silvestre makes a mistake and is overtaken by Girard and Hatfield

Oh yeah, Hatfield still needed to pit, he is the last one

He returns to the track right in front of the Swiss car, and is able to hold the pressure

But Frutiger-Füssli manages to pass him two laps later

The top 10 after 32 laps

Lin Kuei is able to pass Hatfield too, and is not the last anymore

As Hatfield was trying to keep the pace of the Korean car he makes a mistake

One wing is lost there

And he goes to the pits again

Switzerland are in the pits for some refuel

Nikolov passes Silvestre

And shortly after forgets to brake

Thats the difference between a rookie and a more experienced driver, Nikolov returns to the track

Silvestre and Taytoh are able to pass him although

And now Taytoh is going for Silvestre's position

Nikolov trying to return to his old position

Taytoh is not able to stay in the track

And Nikolov takes the opportunity and overtakes him

Brazil is the first one to stop this time

Domenech is finally in first place

With all the drivers except Hatfield, Frutiger-Füssli and Kuei also stopping

Nikolov sets the fastest lap with 10 laps to go

Kuei finally stops

The standings after the second round of pit stops

De Boer is attacking Grimaldi

And he makes it

Silva Tung and Briere enjoyed a peaceful race today

Number of pit stops

Domenech is being overtaken by Frutiger-Füssli

This is not looking good

And here is the confirmation, Domenech is out of the race, bad day for him

With this, Silva is joining the podium alongside the leader Cremasco and the rookie Poirier

Ohhhhh Poirier must have gotten too excited

He is going to hit the wall

End of race for him, what a shame, after an amazing day

Cremasco wins the race

Final Standings:

Fast Laps:

I have to laugh or I have to cry for losing second place by the suspension at the two laps to go? :(

Nice job by Cheng to finish on the podium. Although I think if it wasn't for Argentina and USA retiring, 5th still would've been a great result regardless. I can confirm that Team China are now super motivated to make sure the car is the best that it can be for the opening round. We'll see everyone then.

Depending on when the championship officially begins, I might be able to run the opening round. And I have to ask, was the pre-race run to Monza's 100% distance? Or was it the right distance for GPG Nations Cup races?

Well that sucked ;) Still a better finish then were we started, not too bad all around, without that failure we would have been top 6! Sounds promising!

Nice coverage ;-)

Good thing that this was just a test race ;)

@Greg: F1 race has 53 laps at Monza, so I guess there were no changes made in the md ;-)

Great coverage and great race by Nikolov, he compensated for the bad qualifying, showing Bulgarian team is still a strong challenger for the championship.
It was not the right distance for gpgnc, I only changed the pit strategy, forgot to change the laps hahahaha my mistake ;)

Greg you can run the first round, we are only waiting for schifty to send his files, but he doesn't answers the pm's

Team Ireland showed some great pace out there today, bloody women drivers ;)
