Brazil closes deal with new partner
A brazilian sports site announced today that the brazilian team competing in the GPGNC has signed a deal with a new automobile manufacturer.

After the season 3 in which they used engines and chassis provided by Chevrolet, the team will be using now chassis provided by Troller, and MWM's engines, both companies are brazilian as well

Team UAE

So far out of the points but more importantly still in the race. Seeing Canada, one of our closest rivals for the championship crash out has taken some pressure off but we must push and collect a few points to capitalize on this.

Part 2

Welcome back.

We come back from the break to find Kederer hunting down Cremasco.

Ahead of them, Silva is trying for a move on Grimaldi.

Silva has managed to get by Grimaldi, but Kederer hasn’t quite gotten by Cremasco just yet.

They go side by side.

Oh no, Kederer has found himself in trouble and has gone off the track. It would seem he made contact with Cremasco, so let’s check the replay to see what happened.

As the replay shows from onboard with Cremasco, they went side by side down towards the corner.

Then all of a sudden, Cremasco no longer has the German to deal with, indicating that the two made contact for sure.

Cremasco gets to continue on, but he may need to be wary of any potential damage his car may have sustained from the contact with Kederer.

Kederer rejoins in last place, and won’t be too happy about it.

Oh my! There’s been a big incident involving De Boer and Keranen.

As the replay shows, De Boer was under pressure from McGregor.

However, he ends up locking up his brakes, which causes him to run off the road.

He wasn’t able to pull up enough to avoid hitting the wall, resulting in a heavy hit that rips the front left wheel clean from the car.

Keranen was the unfortunate one, as he had nowhere to go and ended up collecting the torn wheel, resulting in his font wing being damaged.

That’s race over for De Boer.

Kederer made up a few positions at the expense of both De Boer and Keranen, and is now on the back of Domenech.

Keranen comes in to get a new nose attached.

Kederer goes up the inside of Domenech.

And manages to get ahead.

Cremasco now finds himself behind Grimaldi.

McGregor is now ahead of Frutiger-Fussli. Whatever has happened to the Swiss driver to drop him so far down the order seems to have been missed by the cameras.

The pitstops are now underway as Viljoen comes in for his stop.

More drivers are also in for their stop.

This is not a good situation for Frutiger-Fussli as he has to wait for Hatfield’s stop to finish before he can be serviced. And why would the pitcrew have a new front wing for the Swiss car, then switch it for a new UAE front wing? Major pitcrew error?

Silva looks to have lost out as he is forced to wait for Hatfield to go on through before he can leave the pits.

More pitlane action.

Nikolov rejoins the track ahead of Viljoen.

Once again, we have more pitlane action.

Kuei is back in 3rd position once again.

All drivers have now completed their first stop, so let’s see what the standings currently look like.

Cremasco now sits in 7th. Seems the earlier contact with Kederer hasn’t affected his car’s performance, so he won’t need to worry about that anymore.

If anyone has an axe to grind, it would most likely be Frutiger-Fussli. The highest position he was up to was 5th, but unexpected problems have caused him to fall back to the rear of the field.

Hang on, something looks to be wrong with the UAE car as Silva has managed to close in really close.

And now Hatfield has pulled off to the side of the track.

Suspension Failure has robbed Hatfield and Team UAE of a possible points finish that would’ve helped them extend their championship lead. They won’t be too happy about this.

Aspenstrom is chasing down Ihara for 4th, but he will need to keep his eye on Silvestre behind.

Kederer now finds himself behind Grimaldi.

Rodriguez is up to 16th. He may be having a tough time, but at least he is showing that he isn’t ready to give up just yet.

As we go onboard with Nikolov, let’s check out the current standings again.

Aspenstrom is closing the gap to Ihara.

He goes for his move down the straight.

And the Swedish driver succeeds in getting by.

That now gives Silvestre a chance to try his luck in attempting to get by.

It’s time once again for a break. We’ll be back with more of the coverage once it’s ready to show.

good to see that another boost turns out to be a waste.

I don't recall crashing in this race! .... it does explain however why I woke up in the hospital :/

Anyways something like this was to be expected, finally a race where I was able to move up to the front and then two mistakes mess everything up again. Really already with my head in the next season!

If you are racing, keep on racing and get some points!

GPG Nations Cup Rd 15 Bulgarian GP - Race Day

Part 3

We are back.

We return from the break to see Silvestre making his move on Ihara.

And the San Marino driver makes the move stick.

According to the timing, it seems Dixon has lost a position to Kederer.

McGregor sits in 9th, and is slowly catching up to Girard as indicated by the split.

Further back, Rodriguez is closing in on Tafuro.

Tung is up to 11th. Considering what happened to him in the first lap incident, it has been a good race so far for the Chinese driver. He will need to keep any eye out for Kederer though if he wants to hold down his position.

Rodriguez looks to have closed in even more on Tafuro.

Keranen is giving Domenech a rough time.

He tries to go up the inside, but isn’t far enough up and makes contact with the Argentine driver.

As a result, both drivers stay in their positions.

Not much separates Viljoen and Kuei in the battle for 2nd.

Kederer is close enough to Tung now to attempt a move up the inside.

However, Tung manages to defend his position, leaving the German behind him.

Rodriguez is even closer now to Tafuro.

He has a look up the inside down the straight.

And succeeds in getting by.

Kederer has finally managed to get by Tung.

We have a yellow out.

Keranen was right behind Domenech not too long ago. What happened to the Finn?

The replay shows that Keranen was attempting for a move on Domenech.

He didn’t quite get far enough up, and again ends up making contact with Domenech. Only this time, it leaves the Finn facing the wrong way, and the Argentine driver out wide.

At least he gets to continue on, but will be beside himself with anger for not being able to make his passing attempts stick.

Let’s check out the current standings as we focus in on our race leader.

Nikolov looks like he is increasing his lead every lap.

1st may be out of the question for both Viljoen and Kuei at the current moment, so they may be looking forward to the second round of stops for a chance to try and close the gap.

Grimaldi is closing in on Dixon.

The battle for the podium continues on between Viljoen and Kuei.

Silva looks pretty secured holding down 10th.

These two just can’t seem to break away from each other.

Cremasco has gotten by Ihara, which seems to have been missed by the cameras.

We finally get a bit of a breather between Viljoen and Kuei.

The split doesn’t look so good for Kuei, as she has lost time to Viljoen.

A lap later, and Kuei is once again on Viljoen’s rear.

The battle takes a break for now as Kuei comes in for her stop, which starts the second round of stops.

Tung is in as well.

Kuei has rejoined in 9th.

Nikolov is in.

Aspenstrom is also in.

Cremasco, Ihara and Girard are all in for their stops.

More pitlane action.

As Silva comes in for his stop, the timing shows that Kuei has once again taken the fastest lap.

Kederer is in for his stop.

Even more pitlane action.

Grimaldi makes a move on Keranen into the first corner, and succeeds in getting by.

Viljoen is in for his stop.

Nikolov retakes the lead, and also takes the fastest lap.

Kuei takes 2nd.

Viljoen rejoins the track, but now finds himself in 4th.

Aspenstrom, being on warmer tyres, is in a good position to try and challenge Viljoen for his position.

Keranen is the last of the drivers to make his stop.

With all drivers having now made both stops, let’s check out the current standings.

Time for our final break of the coverage. When we return, we’ll go through to the end to crown our winner, so stay tuned.

We need to calm down. Fastest lap of the race is a good thing, but we need to be conservative and keep up the lead 5 more laps. Keep my fingers crossed for our first home victory.
Oh dear, pitstops don't seem to have gone Patrick's way. Hopefully he can make up for it and grab a podium for what might be our last shot at a good result this season.
Can't believe that we spent full boost and are currently 11th...

There is a voluntary retirement during the race?

GPG Nations Cup Rd 15 Bulgarian GP - Race Day

Part 4

Welcome back for the final time.

Silvestre is still in 3rd, and only has a handful of laps left to hold onto it.

Girard is holding down 8th, and should be able to keep it till the end.

Nikolov is slowly closing in on Keranen.

The timing shows our current top 10 and how they have moved since race start.

There may still be a chance for Viljoen to get back onto the podium as the split shows that he has gained a bit of time on Silvestre.

As we can see from the timings, the midfield is spaced out too far from each other so it seems unlikely we’ll be seeing any battles.

Nikolov has managed to lap both Keranen and Domenech.

They battled early on in the race, and now it seems they are going to go at it again.

We have the final lap notification.

It’s been a fantastic race for Nikolov. He took advantage of Kuei’s error when she ran wide, had a battle with Viljoen for the lead, and managed to hold onto the race lead after both stops.

He exits the final corner for the final time.

And he takes the chequered flag to win his home GP.

Kuei finishes in 2nd, and we also see that Keranen had managed to get ahead of Domenech.

Silvestre rounds off the podium with 3rd.

With that, our coverage of the Bulgarian GP now comes to an end. It was a very entertaining race in its own way, and it helps to set the stage for the final two rounds. So, congratulations to Nikola Nikolov and Team Bulgaria, the winner of Rd 15 and in the process become the first team to win their home GP. We now say our goodbyes, and we hope to see you all back again when we bring you the coverage for Rd 16, the Canadian GP.

Fastest Laps

Team China

12th at the finish after starting 20th. It was a great recovery drive for Cheng, considering he had been facing the wrong way at the first corner on the first lap. Hoping for better in Canada though, as we really need points to keep us inside the top 10. And congratulations to Team Bulgaria on a fantastic victory. Seems every race the home team in one way or another has a great weekend, or a miserable one. So if that holds true for Canada, then Briere may be able to take control of the championship heading into the final round, and that should setup a brilliant battle to decide who will be the champion for Season 4.

11th? Another full boost down the toilet...

Finally Nikolov has come back :)
7th place.... Not great. Much appreciated points though, but no real pace
