Yeah this was a waste of boost entirely
Ewwww, I lost 3 spots after the stops :( Bummer
I guess Patrick just doesn't like the wet. 21st is a waste of boost :(
Looking good for a few points, if Ihara san keeps it facing forwards

Part 3

Welcome back once again.

It seems that the track is starting to dry out, so we may start seeing more pace from some of the cars.

6th currently for Hatfield sees him as the highest standing title contender.

As we go onboard with Ihara, we can see that Silva has gone off the track.

The replay shows that he went off all on his own.

He manages to get going again, but will be a bit angry with himself for making his error.

Frutiger-Fussli keeps dropping back as more cars proceed to lap him.

Cremasco is the next in line to lap the Swiss car.

Further up the road Nikolov is trying for a move on Ihara.

But he was unable to get by, so ends up staying behind the Japanese driver.

Cremasco has moved on past Frutiger-Fussli.

Also through is Briere.

Near the back of the field, Kuei and Aspenstrom are in their own battle.

The Korean has a look up the inside.

But she isn’t able to get by.

She still manages to keep up with the Sweden car.

Once again she goes for another pass attempt down the straight.

And again she isn’t able to make it by.

Rodriguez currently sits ahead of Viljoen.

The South African has managed to close in even closer.

We have a battle taking place between Briere and Ihara.

Further back sits McGregor, who currently sits in the final points position.

Cremasco is seen returning to the track after taking his stop.

He manages to rejoin in front of Dixon.

Back to this battle now, and it seems Kuei is trying for another passing attempt on Aspenstrom.

And this time she manages to get it done.

McGregor has closed in more onto the back of the Japanese car.

Kederer has Grimaldi right on his tail.

Keranen has taken his stop recently, and now sits in 18th between Kuei and Aspenstrom.

Domenech rejoins the track from having taken his stop right behind Tung.

Briere rejoins in 14th after taking his stop.

He’ll need to be careful though not to damage his new tyres while defending from Cremasco. Meanwhile, the timing shows that Tafuro has headed into the pits for his stop.

Also in is De Boer.

Cremasco is really putting the pressure on Briere.

Bit further back is the current championship leader.

Not much in it at the moment between Aspenstrom and Viljoen. Also, the timing shows that Kederer has headed into the pits.

Viljoen has a look up the inside of the Swedish driver.

But he is unable to get by.

Keranen has closed in on Rodriguez, and further back sits Kuei.

The timing shows that Nikolov has come in for his stop.

As too does Silva.

Keranen tries to get by the Uruguayan, but is unable to get the move done.

Hatfield is up to 2nd, but still has his second stop to make.

The UAE driver takes the fastest lap of the race.

The timing shows that Kuei has headed in for her stop.

We have a battle taking place between Tafuro and Ihara.

Another battle taking place is between Domenech and Tung.

The timing shows that Viljoen is in for his stop.

In as well is the race leader.

Dixon and Silva are engaged in their own battle as well. The timing also shows that McGregor has come into the pits for his stop.

Also in is Tung as we see Keranen and Kederer involved in a battle.

Keranen has a look up the inside of the German.

But finds that he is unable to get by, so ends up staying behind.

Hatfield comes in for his stop.

He rejoins in 5th.

Briere will probably not be happy knowing that one of his closest title contenders is ahead of him.

The timing shows that Aspenstrom has headed in to the pits.

Dixon rejoins the track in 15th after taking his stop. He’ll be more unhappy than Briere at the current moment.

Silvestre has taken the fastest lap.

With all drivers having made both of their stops, let’s check out the current standings.

Time for our final break of the coverage. When we return, we’ll go through to the very end of the race.

Well, not great from Antero, we gave him a car to hopefully do well today and he hasn't performed as we expected, few laps to go, but just racing for pride now.
Mixed feelings so far. Exciting to be fighting hard but sad to be doing so for 18th place. Nobody said it'd be easy.

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps
TEAM UAE

Exciting race so far with plenty of action. Currently sitting in 5th, slowly working our way up towards the pointy end. Could be some valuable points, just need to keep it on the black stuff.
Crap! Another off track ride. Damn!

Dropping further back, that's the way to go...

Part 4

Welcome back for the final time.

Hatfield now has the fastest lap.

Silvestre must be feeling frustrated being stuck behind Aspenstrom.

However, he doesn’t have to worry about that anymore as the Swedish driver has allowed him to get by.

Next driver in queue is De Boer.

McGregor is starting to put Briere under pressure.

But try as he might, the Australian just can’t find a way past the Canadian.

Girard has gotten by Kederer, which means the German has gone a lap down.

With only 6 laps remaining, let’s check out the current standings as we ride onboard with Rodriguez.

Hatfield has managed to get by Kuei, and now sets his sights on lapping Rodriguez.

Dixon may have to accept defeat in this race in regards to the championship.

Girard still leads, but Silvestre can be seen in the distance.

Rodriguez doesn’t give Hatfield any troubles as the UAE driver laps him.

A lockup from Kederer just adds to the German’s terrible race.

At least he keeps the car ontrack.

He probably won’t want to hold Silvestre up for too long though.

5 laps left to go till Girard can take the chequered flag.

Further back, Tung has managed to lap Frutiger-Fussli. Meanwhile, we have another yellow out.

And here’s the reason why. Briere has gone off the track and into the sand.

The replay shows that he went in all on his own.

He manages to rejoins, but his chance at points is all but gone.

No sooner has the Canadian managed to get himself going again the yellow is out yet again.

It’s Rodriguez, and it looks like the engine has given up the ghost.

It’s a Water Leak that results in the Uruguayan’s retirement.

4 laps left to go. And yet another yellow is out.

It’s Girard! Our race leader has run off the track and lost the lead. What has happened to the car that has practically dominated this race from the start? (We can’t see him, but the track map shows that he is off the track)

The replay should tell us what happened. He was all on his own, but ends up making a small error into the corner.

As a result, he spins out into the sand. He’ll be gutted with what just happened, as will all the team members in the garage.

He attempts to try and rejoin the track, but he has to wait for most of the cars to go through. We also get to see the current top 10 and how they have moved.

He finally manages to get going again, but now sits down in 15th. All the hard work gone down the drain in just one small error.

That now leaves Silvestre in the race lead.

With Girard having lost the lead, let’s check out the current standings to see where everyone sits.

De Boer now sits in 2nd. He’ll need to get by Kederer if he wants any chance to try and catch Silvestre.

We focus in on Aspenstrom as the timing shows that Briere has managed to get by Grimaldi.

Hatfield is now on course for a podium, which will give him a nice haul of points provided he makes it to the end.

However, he won’t want to stay behind the Sweden car for too long so as not to risk losing his position.

The drive of the race so far has been from McGregor. Started 21st. Currently sits in 7th. He’ll be quite pleased with how his race has been going.

Despite the errors made earlier in the race, Silva is now in a points scoring position.

Grimaldi has come into the pits, and the reason seems to be due to an Electrical failure.

He rejoins in front of Kederer.

It’s been an outstanding performance from Silvestre here today. He started in 6th, managed to work his way up into 2nd during the pitstops, and took over the lead after Girard made his error.

He takes the last corners for the final time.

And takes the chequered flag to win the French GP, the first victory for San Marino since last season’s Italian GP.

De Boer finishes in 2nd.

Hatfield rounds off the podium in 3rd, and should now be the championship leader.

Tafuro finishes 4th, but it could’ve been a bit higher had he not lost out during the stops.

Tung finishes in 11th, just one position shy of the points.

Girard finishes in 14th. Had he not made that mistake, it would’ve been a win for sure considering how dominate the Frenchman was here today.

So there we have it. Congratulations Gianluigi Silvestre and Team San Marino, the winner of Rd 14. It’s the first win for them since Vallelunga last season, and considering how their season has been going for them so far it’s a great result for them. The biggest heartbreak would have to be from Jean Girard and Team France. After taking pole in qualifying, they were considered the favourite for the win, which was quickly proven right as they took the lead at the start, and managed to hold onto it for every lap even during the stops. But a mistake from the Frenchman near the end literally threw away all the hard work and cost the home team what was certainly going to be a home win. That wraps up our coverage of the French GP. We hope you enjoyed every minute of it, and we hope to see you all back here once again when we bring you the coverage of Rd 15 from the Hungaroring, which is the venue for the Bulgarian GP. This is GPG Nations Cup, signing out from Le Mans Bugatti. Goodbye.

We sucked at the pits, that's clear. Next time will go better..

Well, I don't like the idea to spend much boost to have a decent result. I haven't that luck in which I can get at least one time a decent result without boost, so, I'm not very happy with this race, more if I see the FL.

9th is a great race improvement. Ihara san getting to grips with the car. Rumours say she's been spotted around race circuits with Kamui Kobayashi, Ryo Fukuda & Takuma Sato

Finally a decent race, very happy with 2nd place and completely unexpected, now just hope it isn't an one time deal!

Jean Girard, you may have just lost your job there garcon! Stupid mistake, costing certain victory, and a huge haul of points. Team France is bitterly upset with this mistake by our driver, and whether he survives the in house investigation, only time will tell.....

Okay, it's cool that we're new and all, but getting lapped is inexcusable. And a blown engine to top it off.

Better to deal with frustration right away I guess...
