Doesn't get much easier than Option 2 ;-)

Need a video of course for that, maybe this will help me to prevent Easywad to work.

Well for some reason i reinstalled GP4, installed repackage, trying to open with Easywad, got illegal switch, then associating got a exception error. I need really help for a video.

Well, im on Win7, not on Vista.

Yeah, flying, reinstalled a fresh GP4, then replaced decrypted Gp4 exe, installed gpxpatch, and zaz tools, and so i need a video and it will finally work. I need to do with Easywad, this really confuses me on how to extract helmets.

I am also on Win 7 64bit

If you look back at Tom's GP4 Central site I linked above Option 2
in Option 1 which is what you chose...you need to pay attention to the order of installing things just as he pointed out.
including #4 Run the game and configure graphics / sound, then exit
before installing GpX patch etc.

Also....
For anything GP4 related I always right click what ever programs icon
GP4.exe, GpX.exe, EasyWad.exe etc. & select > properties/compatibility

Under privilege level I check "Run As Administrator"
Sometimes I also check "Run This Program In Compatibility Mode for Windows XP Serice Pack 3"
But do find mostly I do not need that compatibility mode checked
But run as Administrator as EricMoinet schrieb
previously said about "administrative rights" or you may have a problem

Good Luck

Flying, I completed Option 1 and 2, you have to give me a instructions on how to get Easywad work without problems and it will work like a charm. Photo might be included.

The problem is that you have installed both GP4 and ZaZ Tools into the default "Program Files" location. This works fine on Windows XP but is not OK for Windows 7.

I recommend you uninstall everything (GP4 + ZaZ Tools). Then reinstall everything to your Home folder (e.g. C:\Users\Bandon23\GP4 and C:\Users\Bandon23\ZaZTools).

Bandon...... Funny enough I built a new computer yesterday
with new install of Windows 7 64 bit

I had all the problems you described

I fixed it by downloading the original CSM linked on gp4db

It has the installer which I ran & then CSM etc worked fine.
Since the version on GP4 central is newer I later copied all those files into the new install
& it is working fine.

You might try that?

In gp4db it says 500 internal server error when i trying to go to download ZaZ tools but i found that file which it was called ZaZ TOOLS PUBLIC RC.zip on website.

I installed it with a original CSM, replaced with a repackage of ZaZ Tools and Easywad can't just work, this is just madness, can't extract helmets and cars, need a serious help and video and photo so i can trust what Easywad looks like.

Here is what it look like when i open cars.wad and open with GUI:

Host: GP4LIB 0.8.108
Caller: GP4LIB
Procedure: frmMain::Form=>Load
Date: 18.7.2014.

Os Info:

then i copy cars.wad and paste it and this error looks like:

Host: GP4LIB 0.8.108
Caller: GP4LIB
Procedure: frmMain::mnuEditPaste=>Click
Date: 18.7.2014.
Time: 15:32:15

Flying, this is the problem i had.

Your having a tough time with it :-)

Have you tried opening your GP4 folder
go to a wad file like cars.wad....right click it & select properties

Then at the top where it reads "type of file" Wad File
below that is a line that reads "Opens With"
Click change & browse to your Zaz Tools file & select Easy Wad

Remember when Easy wad asks "Associate Wads with Easy Wad" put a check in the box

You will know your successful once your Wad files icons changes to the green Easy Wad Icon

Still no difference with it, right-clicking it & select properties, changing, browsing in my Zaz tools file & selecting Easywad. Associating wads with easywad and nothing happens, the error is still there:

Caller: GP4LIB

Yeah, a tough time for me, but how I could fix my Easywad, still waiting for more help.

Well see my previous post about that problem, and anyways is there an easy way to extract helmets and cars with mods without using Easywad?

Use WadUpdater 3.4! Maybe Easywad is faulty, it never worked for me, I don't know why. WadUpdater-Download here: [www.realgpx.com]

Should it work with these mods in CSM? But you're right, it's faulty for Easywad.

Try it with WadUpdater or you will never get your helmets working in GP4! ;)

Is WadUpdater having a tex format file, if it isn't, I have to extract it. Then after extraction completes, i'm opening cars folder and i see 3 folders in it, and in data folder, I see helmets like named driver1_1.tex. Do i have to replace that?

Also, I'm using 2002 Mod with CSM.

Yes, you have to replace the original files in the GP4 main directory with the extracted ones, but make a back up of the original files! :-)

Ok guys, but here's the following: EasyWad doesn't work for me, can anyone help me? How do I get the EasyWad work? I'm not in great shape. Totally confused for it. Here's why:
Host: GP4LIB 0.8.108
Caller: GP4LIB
Procedure: frmMain::Form=>Load
Date: 13.5.2015.
Time: 17:12:36
Index out of bounds
Line: 132
Source: csmimglst.CSMImageList

Os Info:
Unknown OS Version 6.1

6.1 b 7601

United Kingdom (English) (English)

-------------Place some info here of how and when it happened-------------

and then

Runtime error '9':
Subscript out of range.

And also why the grandprixx.com is not available? It's currently in sale.

Wadupdater should be alright.
