Hinz improving his wet driving skills

On his way to Montreal for the next GPGSL event Hinz made a small detour to the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course. He was able to significantly improve his wet driving skills on the soaking wet track. However due to the strict testing regulations of the GPGSL no formula car could be used for the testing runs. To circumvent the testing restrictions Hinz piloted a DBR 9 of the Aston Martin ALMS team instead. To simulate the GPGSL formula car as closely as possible the headlights were switched off despite the dismal weather conditions. According to Hinz this improved the realism of the testing runs immensely: "Switching off the headlights really did the trick. There was virtually no difference to the GPGSL car. It was like only changing the carshape but not the physics file in a computer game."

Love the sound of the engine on that DBR 9 :)

Elleker taking weekend off GPGSL to race a GT Aston!
It has been revealed today that AMR racer Jack Elleker will not be around in the GPGSL next weekend as he will be busy racing an Aston Martin Vantage GTE at Silverstone for the WEC

Rumors are that the Aston Martin DBR9 driven in Top Gear's test track by the Stig was, in fact, driven by a disguised Hinz.

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps
Can we get official confirmation from the GPGSL board that there will be a feature race for the testers taking place in Montreal?

Whether or not there is a feature race is up to the RD for the round. If so, a qualifying result screen is sent by pm to the GPGSL and to me, it is then posted as an official result by the GPGSL and the topic header is edited.
The feature race has the usual coverage by gpgtv with the final result screen posted by the GPGSL.
RD's edit the signature text of the gpgtv account to show who is running the round.
Any further questions drop me a pm. :-)

If something comes up for me next season, I guarantee I'll be the last to know... ;)

All I do know is that I've spent a lot of the team's budget on numerous pepperoni pizzas...

Season 9: Constructors' Champions
This might seem like a stupid question, since my modding experience with Gp4 is insignificant, but do the mods support more than one engine sound? If so, we could have two or three and choose. That would make a sexy mod not only for RDing, but also for the casual player.

Statement regarding VSM leaving the GPGSL
Rico came to me and told me he was playing with the idea of withdrawing his team from the GPGSL for season 10. I have to admit that I did not like this idea, Rico has been a long time friend and managed my carreer in the GPGSL from the beginning. On the other side I was well worked within the team, to give advice and help with descissions. The deal was that might I ever become GPGSL Driver champion, I would return as a full-time race driver to help him get VSM back to the top.

So yes, I did not like the idea. The team has also been a great platform for me to get exposure for my own company, for season 10 I have to think of another strategy. But I wish Rico the best of luck at TSM, he will need it ;-)

Personally I think he is to rusty and old, but he did stay away from the alcohol (mostly) to prepare himself for his comeback. He is doing well in the testers championship, so we will see :-P

My GPGSL Career
Just popping in to bring my activity up to speed.

Busy with exams and Uni so haven't had the best to pop in. Sorry boys and girls.

Santilal Bakeries, will however provide a cake to each team (which may or may not be full to the brim with alcohol so drivers racing against MPR may be hungover on Sunday ;))
