GPGSL S9 R13 - Austrian GP - A-1 Ring [Race online p205!]

No, that's not going to happen. We have too many people that want to take part, and dumping the test driver comp, would be just that, dumping on all that take part. It was the only thing we could do without having to split the series, which is what happened many moons ago with the WGP/W300 if I recall correctly. Ultimately it was a bad idea with a not so good outcome.
Anyway it gives more people a chance to participate, which is what it's all about isn't it.
I know there's some that don't like the activity rules, and we've just about talked it to death really. I understand that rules are rules, but when you see a competitor, in this case Jo-Anne, who does want to retain her seat, and really through no real fault of her own was unable to follow what was going on, I think it's a good idea, both for the series itself, and for the the competitor, to be reasonable and say ok, we understand what happened. If everyone else is happy with it, and doesn't want to see a driver booted through no fault, well and good.
Meanwhile, I did call Jo-Anne this evening, and I have given her the good news that she will race at Monza, and she says that next week, she will have a new laptop.

But, like most people who take a holiday break here, she has every intention of returning to the seat and becoming a valued member of the community, and her abscence, unlike a holiday, was in no way something that she could have controlled. I will add that it was fortunate that she was able to keep in touch with someone by other means, but as it happened, she was able to keep in touch and prove her positive intentions
If people are honest, everything works fine, if not, we have a can of worms and some people who really shouldn't be here
Thus I argue for both the activity checks and for Jo-Anne's return

As a former teamboss I see how annoying would have been for Maikel to find another driver so I fully agree with the decision to let Jo-Anne race.
