Shame to see Owen get the boot.

If I remember rightly he raced with us in a one off event a while back.

One point about the perfs, where am I?

In all the latest driver changes and perf fumbling, that must have gone missing, I'm afraid. Sorry. I informed Stu to get you in the perfs before he runs the FP.

Owen's departure/demise/disappearance saddens me - i gave up my race seat at TNR to allow him the promotion, ahead of my team ownership.... What could have been hey..??!!

Yep! A Jordan-esque decline. Cusp of glory, a few romps, and down down downnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!

Jenson drives it like he owns it; Lewis drives it like he stole it
John, not a problem mate. I almost missed it myself ;)

So, what you're suggesting Dan is that you've sold your team to a Russian who will rename it and paint your cars red and grey, only for him to then sell it to some Dutch guys who will rename the team again and painti your cars orange, before they finally sell it to a smooth Indian guy who will rename it again, decking the old TNRs in tiger stripes?

Have I got it in one?

We look a bit vulnerable in the perfs at the moment - roll on Engine caps!!

Ok guys, really sorry about this, but I've just discovered I am going to be mega busy over the next couple of weeks. Could someone please take over RD duties for Zandvoort? I think Greg expressed a desire to run this round, just wondered if he would take over.

GPGSL Rd 11 Dutch GP – Tester’s Free Practice

Hello and welcome to Rd 11 of the GPGSL. We are in Zandvoort for the Dutch GP, and we are set for the start of the tester’s free practice. The tester’s championship leader, Maikel De Boer, will be hoping for a great result here in front of his home crowd, but he’ll need to stay focused as well as he only leads by 1pt over AMR’s Christopher Hinz. Well then, it’s now time to head trackside as the session gets underway.

Weather Report

Here is Giovanna Michail, the newest driver to join the GPGSL. It’ll be interesting to see how the rookie will go in her first session.

De Boer will be hoping for a great result in his home GP.

Domenech sets the initial fastest time being the first driver out.

It’s good enough to hold off Mills, Allington and Michail.

De Boer sets the 3rd fastest time, to which the crowd respond in loud cheers.

McGregor goes 5th fastest.

Silvestre manages to go one better.

Cremasco just misses out on the top 5.

Sheppard goes faster than Cremasco.

Thomas slots his Shadow into the top 5.

The One of De Bruyker goes faster.

With the first group of drivers done with their lap, let’s take a look at the standings.

Dan Paddock makes his return to the testing seat.

Ingers, being first out for the second group, goes 9th fastest.

Hinz sets a better time.

Van Smirren can only manage 13th.

Paddock puts his MPR into the top 5.

Stoddart gets close, but can only manage 6th.

Kittleson gets into the top 5.

Hunsley, JHR owner, sets a time good enough for 17th. He’ll most likely be disappointed with that time.

O’Brien goes 19th fastest, and is 1 second slower than the fastest time. The cameras missed what happened to the SCR, but it seems most likely O’Brien had an off somewhere.

Hayes, who is doing double duty, puts her Snake up into the top 10.

Edwards goes 15th fastest. He was hit with 2 inactive penalties which put him in the tester’s seat, and recently got his 3rd penalty, so this meeting will be Edward’s last in the GPGSL, at least until the start of next season.

Schroder can only go fast enough for 17th.

All drivers have now finished their first run, so let’s look at the standings.

Michail improves on her time, but is unable to improve her position.

Sheppard improves, and puts his Demon inside the top 10.

De Boer improves on his time, and retains 3rd.

Both runs now completed for the first group, so let’s take a look at the standings again.

Ingers improves up to 7th.

After a disappointing first run, O’Brien manages to improve up to 13th.

Edwards has hit the wall, and that is it for the TNR car.

Van Smirren improves, and makes it into the top 10.

Schroder improves on his first run, but only goes 17th fastest.

With no improvements made, the second group have now finished their second and final run.

There we have it. The session has come to an end, and we have our free practice winner. Congratulations Emanuel Domenech and VSM, our free practice winners. Next up: main game qualifying. We’ll see you back soon.

Results To Come

I'm pretty disappointed with 14th. As De Boer showed, there is good pace in the SCR cars, so I could've easily made it into the top 5. Shame I ran off the track at some point. If it wasn't for that, my first run would've been much better. Anyways, time to sit back and see how Gilson and Cartwright will go in qualifying.
