I was just about the post before the free practice: it wouldnt suprise me if Monil takes the fastest lap in Free practice. And he did :-)

Just a somewhat amusing/bemusing bit of thinking...

I have been in GPGSL since around mid Season 4, and won a couple of races, and had a mixed bag of results in my "career". My perf is okay, but not great.
Now as a team owner doing only test sessions, i find myself regularly getting beaten by my brand new team mate, who's career only started in the last few events! The randomness of GP4 and the perf ratings we use, it goes to whow how a bit of luck can go a long way!

The above "thought" is not a criticism, whinge, sook or complaint - just a bit of an observation. I do hope my team mate continues to kick on and improve rapidly! He will keep my race drivers on their toes!;)

GPGSL Team Owner Debut - Melbourne, Season 8 - present
GPGSL Test Debut - Hungary, Season 4. GPGSL Race Debut - Adelaide, Season 5.
Not a very promising training result in regards to the main event. Jack and I will need a miracle, or a very random GP4, to fight for another team win.

I understand your point, Glen. Partly this is due to the wished for and needed post-season correction that brings the drivers closer together than they'd be without it. However, without that Ed would be dominating every race by now. The other part is, as you say, GP4's randomness. But there's nothing we can do about this. And it's actually not so far off (realism-wise) that you're beaten by a young team mate. You're not the youngest anymore, and ... ;) My point is, in F1 Ricciardo is regularly beating Vettel, Bottas is regularly beating Massa...so it happens. Your observation isn't exactly new and especially absolute newcomers most always bring home good results. Don't ask me how GP4 does it, but most of our newcomers have top ten finishes in their very first test session.

Looks like I'm rising towards the top of the TDC tables :) The SCR is performing really good!

Let's hope the SMS car will work properly during qualifying!

Final Announcement

Thank you all for being absolute kings and queens during my time here in the GPGSL from the beginning to the end. I have enjoyed every moment on and off the race track by getting up to mischief and spiking cakes with Martini. I am sad to be leaving GPGSL but real life has caught up with me and I can't devote enough time as I used to with the league and the forum. I'm grateful to be leaving on a high (even if Ed suggested I make a comeback! ;)) with P1 in Free Practice for MPR. I wish the team and the series all the best with the future.

Thank you and farewell :)
