Eastern Creek Raceway was included in TOCA Race Driver 3 game. So I wondered why we still haven't got a converted version from there

Or the laser scanned version can be converted from rFactor.

As you are probably aware, Marino Cervini built Eastern Creek and Oran Park for GP3 also.

I'm not interested in doing a conversion for the track layout.

I was talking briefly to a photographer that did some fabulous shots of horizons of Bathurst and he asked about Eastern Creek Raceway. I was not able to stop thinking about it so I decided to research it a bit. It always was sort of on the list.

The earth photos are fairly clean up to date and there is lots of good reference material.

Thank you for the quick and interesting feedback.

And please make the "old" layout, and not the shit they added recently

It was actually quite the challenge to get the background photo of this track. It's made up of 40 or so images. There is a distortion problem around the centre left of the circuit I believe I managed to compensate by taking multiple images, lining them up and overlaying manually at an altitude of 300m. Anyway that's done, and it is also scaled in the builder. Looking forward to building the track.dat next

Greg I've got some onboard footage from a track day I did last year which may prove useful if you'd like it? (Ignore my lack of speed ) It's the GP circuit however with the straightened out kink before Turn 6. Let me know if you'd like to take a look!

I have run it a couple of times and it is proving to be a very useful tool.

After rescaling the background photo this morning, I managed to crank out the track database after 2 attempts. There are no track height variants or banking yet; however, when they're done, I believe the layout will be very close.
