While some of the bumps are included others are inclusions. The circuit will be sorted out in time.

Your text is looking a little fat.

Aussie, not sure what your using to download satellite imagery, but check out Google OZi

[www.zubak.sk]

I use an older version and you can save out mahooosive resolutions.

@ramf1v

Since the building of Oran Park, I have been using Google Earth, capturing multiple images of 1920 x 1080 at 300m of altitude and assembling them in layers manually. It is a rather time consuming process; however, the end result is pretty good. The process takes longer than building the actual layout for the .dat. I did initially try automation in my CS5; however, even removing the confusing text and realigning manually, it just wasn't as accurate for what I needed.

At Mount Panorama, Google at the time did not have accurate satellite photos so I used Flash Earth from Microsoft. I knew that Microsoft had a good satellite image because I have the flight simulator and I noticed it in their in-game graphics which is what prompted me to look for it. The background that I used for Mount Panorama track.dat layout is 9600 x 5869 pixels. The GP4 Builder handles it just fine.

Thank you for sharing the info in regard to Google OZi. It looks interesting. I will pursue that further before I crank out Eastern Creek.

np, I have the full version should you need a really high res image, it goes up to silly resolutions like 36768 x 36768...should be enough ;-)

Amazing resolution possible. I may just take you up on the offer. I do wonder about the planet being global in this situation. One of the advantages of taking overhead shots at 300m of altitude is that we are able to line up each scene in a flat plane. So I wonder about the distortion at 3km of altitude.

I look at it the other way, zoom in to optimum satellite resolution, 3m , 1m, etc ..then grab a picture big enough to encompass the area.

@Hasbriale, thank you for cranking out another in-game video. That's a very nice car you used also.
I'm sorry if you had trouble driving with all the bumps and so on.

@ramf1v, what you are talking about is mind boggling and I will definitely follow up.

SchueyFan, it's good to see you around. It's my home as well, naturally. Even as I have never seen the track, I will do my best. I find it just enthralling to watch the V8 Supercars go full tilt around here.
