I think there were already some rule changes made, not sure though as it has been quite a while . As you're looking through the thread atm, you should find them anyway.

As for the first choice for current managers suggestion, that's how i got manager of McLaren, I think we already did it this way.

Yeh there are some over at Pg 12 that I really should note down to stop having to go back and forth between that page and now . Thanks though you reminded me to note down the page number they are on though!

It's possible that's the way it's done, however the rule on Pg 1 says this:

- Anyone current managing in the series may also apply for any vacant seats. In this case the person who is offered the position is chosen at random.

If it's already how I said, good less need to fiddle with things! . But if it is as written above then I'm effectively removing the random allocation and giving priority to people already in. Effectively to encourage moving up the chain and newer people starting further back.

Now that you say it, it was a random choice back then, too, as I wasn't the only one who wanted Mclaren. Can't remember however whether it was only between the current managers who applied for the spot, or if RegularJohn's name was in the hat, too.

I agree that newcomers should probably start lower down, but I imagine most managers will want to stock with the team they've built up if they've been working in it for any length of time.

Just a thought... maybe one could look through the archives and find out who has been at a single team for the longest....

Great to have you stick around, in that case everything stays the same for 2007 which simplifies things! I've heard back from both pedersen and knacki to say they want to stay on the waiting list, so they've kept their slots.

Just in case you weren't aware I now have the files so stuff is going on in the background! I am having to spend some time familiarizing myself with how things work so if it looks like nothings happening that may be why.

One small request I do have though, could anyone with the F1_Manager password possibly send it to me? Just so I can update posts where necessary!

Small update, the mod is coming along nicely, cars, helmets, tyres, cockpits, pitcrews, visors, sounds and physics are all added, tweaker positions done. 3 subsets, one for quali&race, one for free practice and one for testing. I'll try to update as much of the liveries and helmets as possible, as it will simply look better that way (even if we won't have as much coverages as before).

Also, if the managers who have already completed their teams could confirm their lineups, that'd be great.

My half of the textures is as complete as it can be, I can't do anymore of my half until Williams, Toyota and BMW complete their lineups. I can send them over now if want or if you'd rather wait for them to be fully complete that's fine

So it is! I fully blame the end of the GPGNC season for that, the problem should be solved now

BMW confirms their lineup

Our 4 drivers at toro Rosso are correct. They will get equal time during the pre season and then the first choice drivers will be announced before the first race if the event organisers are okay with this model.
