Renault. I refuse to call them Lotus. The 'Lotus' aspect of them is the least Lotus-like thing possible (not that Fernandes Lotus are much better). They're just sponsors. Did any fans call Williams 'Canon Williams Renault'? Did anyone call Renault 'ING Renault' when talking about them? Nope. 'Lotus Renault' are not going to be any different. It's Renault and Lotus - two different teams.

Rant over.

Even group lotus admitted that for now it's more a sponsorship and that they'll probably still be referred to as "Renault" anyway. I might start calling them Toleman or Benetton though :p

Yes, thank you for noticing I am the most amazing being in the galaxy.

Hehe tecnically Schumacher is racing for BAR, as they effectively shut Tyrrell down, and used the entry for a basically brand new scratch built team. Frank Williams Racing cars similary has some technicalities as he partnered and sold out to Wolf, and then started again on his own from scratch. To the best of my knowledge, Toleman > Benetton > Renault is the same race team, just obviously having gone through some ownership/management changes.

Virgin have Timo Glock (GER) and Jerome D'Ambrosio (BEL)

Lotus Renault GP now has its own website but it's no use until 31st January.

EDIT: I have already seen the image below, but who thinks it's the actual shape of the F11?

Also it's Schumacher's 42nd birthday on Monday...

It definitely seems odd that they want to have 4 dodgy Lotuses on the grid, not just 2

Based on some of the reaction to Abu Dhabi, the blame culture that Todt removed seems to be seeping back into Ferrari, so it will be interesting to see if the designers put their necks out and go for something relatively radical.

Based on how Ferrari progressed last season from the mid-point to the end, it seems that they ended the season with a fundamentally good car that just needs its strengths being built on while its weaknesses are minimised, which would point to the 2011 design being evolutionary rather than radical. We'll soon see though.

The turning point was probably when they realised how much time they wasted working on the F-Duct, which sacrificed other parts of the car.

Here's my theory.

Hill and Button both won their first races at Hungary, Hill in '93 and Button in '06.

They both won their first (and only in the case of Hill) championship 3 seasons later; Hill in '96 and Button in '09.

According to this Kovalainen will win the championship this year as he won his first race in Hungary in '08, and 2011 is the third season after.

So...Team Lotus to build a race-winner?
