actually this does really prove that realiability was the main key for Alonso's title as Kimi suffered 3 grid penalties because of engine change so that mean +30 places without them he would have scored pole in monza,2nd in silverstone and 3rd in magny cours(would most likely taken pole in those two as well without the penalty because he had to fuel for 1stop) so that would have added +24 points for kimi and it would have been much closer :)
@vesuvius - thank you for calling me on that one, yes im going by starting order, not outright qually pace before grid penalties :P, i totally forgot kimis penalties were for reliability reasons not for driving incidents

So... Senna would be six-time WDC and, since the 2003 WDC would be Barrichello (yay! \o/), he would be tied with Schumacher as the most winnest driver ever, and the debate "Senna-this-Schumacher-that" would be even hotter. ;)

EDIT: Hill'd have won the title in 1995, so Senna would be ahead of Schumacher.

Yep :P something else I noticed is that Lotus would have had two more constructors titles than before I think .

Wow, Senna domination and Rubens double champion, hahaha ;). This is a very cool idea, I would like to see this + race results. So the quali accounts for 40-50%, while the race for 50-60% of the points.

I read it twice, nevermind :P
I've been doing the BTC & WTC titles but forgot to update this thread over the past few years.

So here goes - 2010, 11 & 12 by grid positions. Do note however, Grid penalties have effected the start line-ups more than at any time in the sports history. This and wet Q1/2/3 sessions have diluted my efforts of finding the fastest driver each weekend. However as I don't have the data of every drivers fastest laps across a given weekend, and potential laps that were ruined I cannot be completely true here. But I've used qually to give a better idea of pace in a weekend.

2010:

Drivers
1st. Vettel 387pts
2nd. Webber 324pts
3rd. Alonso 235pts
4th. Hamilton 222pts
5th. Button 148pts
6th. Massa 144pts
7th. Kubica 122pts
8th. Rosberg 121pts
9th. Barrichello 58pts
10th. Schumacher 56pts
11th. Hulkenberg 49pts
12th. Sutil 21pts
13th. Liuzzi 12pts
14th. Petrov 11pts
15th. Kobayashi 5pts
16th. De La Rosa 4pts

Teams
1st. Red Bull 711pts
2nd. Ferrari 379pts
3rd. McLaren 370pts
4th. Mercedes 177pts
5th. Renault 133pts
6th. Williams 107pts
7th. Force India 33pts
8th. Sauber 9pts

one note - without reliability RB would have dominated both championships. the teams by nearly 400 points :O

2011:

1st. Vettel 444pts
2nd. Webber 287pts
3rd. Hamilton 270pts
4th. Button 228pts
5th. Alonso 210pts
6th. Massa 162pts
7th. Rosberg 119pts
8th. Schumacher 43pts
9th. Petrov 43pts
10th. Sutil 22pts
11th. Di Resta 16pts
12th. Alguersuari 15pts
13th. Heidfeld 14pts
14th. Kobayashi 13pts
15th. Maldonado 12pts
16th. Senna 10pts
17th. Buemi 5pts
18th. Perez 3pts

Teams
1st. Red Bull 731pts
2nd. McLaren 498pts
3rd. Ferrari 372pts

5th. Renault 68pts
6th. Force India 38pts
7th. Toro Rosso 20pts
8th. Sauber 16pts
9th. Williams 12pts

very defined gaps between each team, Vettel's gap over Webber is notable.

2012:

20th. Kovalainen 0pts (3xP16)
21st. Petrov 0pts (9xP18)

4th. Lotus 257pts
5th. Mercedes 240pts
6th. Williams 122pts
7th. Sauber 106pts
8th. Force India 77pts
9th. Toro Rosso 9pts
10th. Caterham 0pts (P16)
11th. Marussia 0pts (P18)
12th. HRT 0pts (P20)

p.s. 2012 i included the non-points scorers to the table just to extend it to all teams.

note - buttons poor form would have cost mclaren, alonso destroyed massa, schumi beat rosberg for the first time. kobayashi was better than perez.
