Flaming and abusive behaviour

NO flaming of members on the gpg website. Take any flame-fests, if you are inclined to be abusive, to the pm service where they belong. Public flaming/abusive behaviour by members of these forums will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
There has been a spate of abuse directed at certain member/s recently, if anyone has an issue with members of these forums, I suggest that you do not open their threads, or take the time to read their posts. This is easier than responding with abuse.
We have rules regarding acceptable behaviour and nettiquette on this website. Please observe them.
If the rules cannot be adhered to, I will shut this forum down for a week and all will be denied access due to the poor behaviour of some of the members.
Your access to this website is a priviledge, not a right.
And for the record, you can stop asking me to ban someone because you might have an issue with them, it will never happen, you should know by now that's not the way it works around here. Non-negotiable.
Thanks for your time. mortal

Adding to this policy...

As of 1st August 2008, Mods will delete any post or reply which is deemed to be inflamatory, offensive, and/or irrelevant to the topic being discussed. If a post contains some relevant comments, all the irrelevant content will be deleted via the 'edit' facility. The mods have no obligation to notify members when their posts have been deleted or modified.

If the post is well over the boundaries of acceptable conduct, the offending member will be given a warning.

We're taking a harder line with flaming and spamming now, because it is becoming too commonplace. We would appreciate members' vigilance in reporting posts which they deem to be unsuitable.

Racist remarks will get you banned. One member has lost his access today for that.
