I haven't seen any confirmation that Palmer's racing with #30. I mean, he might do, but I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere.

Wait for an official confirmation from Lotus/Renault. The 30 is based off of his Friday testing role which is assigned on a team-by-team basis. Though I may be wrong on that! :)

Added which races are live on Sky Sports F1 HD and which are on both Sky Sports F1 HD & Channel 4 HD.

Thanks,
Iain.

Lotus have tended to use 30 for their test / friday drivers the last few years, Charles Pic was the first to use it in 2014, Caterham (remember them?) tended to use 46 for their testers. Williams used 40 /41 for Wolff and Nasr in 2014.

Some sort of Renault test/race livery?

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

Concept livery, not real.

@Monza972: True, this is a concept livery but I remember that last year, F1 Racing published a "concept" livery from the Williams FW37 and it was the real one. Well, I am not saying this is the real one, as they used the Lotus E23 for this livery.... But Lotus F1 posted a picture from the Renault R30 on their twitter account and Renault F1 said that they loved the F1 Racing cover.
Anyway, we all know that the yellow and black color will be back in 2016 and I think that the real 2016 livery could be similar... Let's see...

A good news and a good deal for Renault F1 today: Magnussen will replace Maldonado. It will be confirmed next wednesday to Renault F1 conference.... ;-)

If I recall correctly the Williams was not a concept livery in the usual internet way of some random fan/journalist with photoshop but Williams actually using F1 Racing to 'launch' the car. So the media material was genuine images from the Williams PR & marketing department and not simply the work of F1 Racing's resident photoshop enthusiast.

@JIM: You are correct. Sorry for the mistake. I forgot the title of the cover: "... world exclusive first pictures" ;-)

well, in (still) Lotus´ twitter they are retweeting various of the fan-made liveries for this year, and one of them was the one IWE brought here alongside a "we REALLY like f1 racing attempt"... as long as we have a yellow car and no red Total wings that ruined Toleman´s cars since 2010 im fine

Also I read somewhere that Ferrari will apply some white to their colour scheme this year making it something similar to the 1993 car, something strange considering it lasted only that year and it was an awful car.

returning to black wings and a darker red (and getting rid of that logo of the Scuderia in the engine cover) would be a good move.

Needs to have the deep red and black, like most of the 80's and 90's cars.

I think the 1993 Ferrari also harked back to the 70s.

But for me, for sheer aesthetics Ferrari never looked better than this..

But then again... Many of my favourite cars came from the 1991 season ;)

Palmer's now confirmed that he's using the #30 via Instagram.

Keep your eyes peeled for the Renault announcements on Wednesday; we should have confirmation of the name change and any changes to the driver lineup...

Well that's definitely a bit blander than expected and there's conflicting reports over whether it's the official race livery or simply a interim paint job for testing.

My best guess is that's an interim livery and it wouldn't surprise me to see a couple more marketing partners included come Melbourne although it's already clear that Renault have decided to port their Ininiti brand over from Red Bull Racing.

Can't say too much about the car as black does do a good job at hiding the more intricate aerodynamic details but it looks much the same as last year's which is no surprise given the team's lack of budget to develop last year's car let alone this years. A close evolution therefore is to be expected.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if that is last year's chassis repainted for purposes of the corporate launch.

I don't think we can expect too much from Renault for a year or two yet. The powertrain is going to take the focus of the initial development seeing as they dropped the ball big time with these v6 regs compared to Mercedes and Ferrari.
