So Hass.

HQ in the states
Design by Dallara in Italy
Partly built in the states
Race prepped in England

I just hope Dallara get a chance to actually develop the car into something respectable for once.

I can't help but agree. As much as I dislike Ron, since he re-took direct control of the team McLaren has started to look like McLaren again, and the team that's being put together has the potential - in the long term - to challenge Mercedes. The Honda engine will probably take a while to get fully up to speed, but once it is I'm expecting it to be spectacular, and if their history in F1 is anything to go by, possibly the new benchmark for engine performance.
I think they'll have a modest start to the season but improve steadily, and by the final few races have a car that's good enough to challenge for race wins. Which, with Alonso driving, will probably guarantee a win or two.

Honda are my main concern though.

People have thought WOW Mclaren Honda! Senna, Prost ... They're going to win everything!!!!

But as David Coulthard might say, past glory doesn't garantee future success and we're also forgetting that Honda's last involvement was a comparative failure, just a handful of wins mostly picked up 'Mugen' it has to be said.

So Mclaren have been diligently restructuring, and they have what on paper is a brilliant driver line-up... Well you can say the same about pretty much all the other grandee teams.

I don't doubt that Mclaren have the potential to return to winning ways, but I highly doubt it's going to be a BAM 1988!! Utter dominance style affair.

I don't see the Mercedes powertrain being beaten in this era. Perhapps the next 1000bhp era which they're trying to push through but not yet.

Some classy cars on display so far, massive improvement on last year (the dev teams have finally stopped making trips to Ann Summer's for their design specifications).

Still a shame that there are only 16 cars on the grid (and even more of a shame that it feels like GP2 no longer seems to mean anything, regardless of the number of teams in F1 - the last three champions aren't racing in F1 despite proving themselves to be capable in single seaters. Even weirder still, there have been two times (2012 and 2014) where the champion isn't an F1 racer, but the guy who finished 3rd (Gutierrez and Nasr) races the following season).

Oops, dunno where I got 16 from :p either way it's still a shame that the grid is getting whittled down :/

Would have preferred white over silver but that is aggressive and beautiful.

It's basically back to pre-2014, but with the silver looking less chromey.

I can't see the difference in the front.

The car looks awesome, the livery does not. Yet another year of McLaren boredom. I hope it's fast, for their own sake.

The new Merc has been leaked by Merc

I also really hope that this is not true but we could be about to lose Force India, Renault might buy them and Lotus are in trouble due to the fuel price drop.

That's a GMM story. Best to pay no notice.

Liking the look of the new Macca. Looks like the aero has been tidied up nicely, especially the nose which is incomparably better. Nice to see red back on it too, the plain black and silver was just dull.

Looks like Peter Prodromou has managed to get some design influence into the Mclaren after only starting in September, note the much tighter/neater rear of the car. Im expecting a seriously different front wing configuration for testing/Australia too.

Seems very tight around the new Honda package too, I'm just hoping there somewhere near the Merc in terms of reliability and can close the power down over the season.

The Merc has to be the best one of the lot yet. Not even the huge front camera supports ruin it for me.

On a quick look, I notice the narrower and lower nose, and some rework at the rear wing. Front wing also looks tidier and less Red Bull-ish. To me it's a W05B, which is good because why change something that works fine?

I honestly hope for Rosberg to be more of a challenge, but being a tifoso who had asked for Vettel since 2009, my hopes, albeit weak, are with him.

Sauber in blue- could have been so much better! Blue and gold are brilliant colours for a livery, but it's just.... meh

As stated on WTF1, Nasr's GP2 car looked pretty nice:
