GrandPrixGames 2014 F1 Manager League!

In the spirit of the previous seasons, we are again having a friendly F1 manager contest here at GPG.

The game is free. All you need to do to join in, is to create a team before the Melbourne qually session starts. You do NOT need to join the league from the start. As long as your team has been created in time, you will be competing on an equal footing. The league is private, so you cannot enter the league until I have approved your membership. Please post your team name here, once you have signed up.

The game is created by FanXT. You can find it on Facebook Facebook FanXT F1 manager app, by searching for fantasy F1 on Facebook, or by going to FanXT homepage.

On of the big benefits of the game, is that you always have something to root for, and thus it really enhances your enjoyment of the races. Last year we had some close battles at various levels of the league, and some great talks about strategy. Among other things, I shared the considerations I used, to break into the top 100 best managers in the global league, on the site. Since the rules are the same, those tips are still valid! Added to that, the stability of last year has been replaced by reliability issues and power versus fuel considerations, which means that it isn't so easy to think your way to the right choice. It is going to be much easier for rookie players to make a good call and outsmart the seasoned veterans. So there is nothing to lose and everything to play for!

The interface for picking drivers and teams is a little clunky, but there instructions in the thread for last season too.

smoglessbutton4, you need to apply for league membership at the FanXT site or through the facebook app. Go to "private league" then search for "GPGames2014". Then click "join league". I have found you on the global manager list, so I know your team has been made correctly. I just can't add you to the league without your on-site application.

Well best to start off with some points. But I think that will get mixed up later. Once Red Bull get their relability in order, they will be up there. JB has already gone on the record, stating that the RB10 has unreal high speed grip even though it lacks top speed. Also, when people figure out that reliable backmarkers are cashcows, some serious speculation is going to hit the game.

MDBSnake, if you can't get it to work, then try through the FanXT site outside Facebook. I have planted the link in the OP. Also, the FB app does not work very well with things like DoNotTrackMe-firefox-plugin running and other such addons. No problems running Ghostery though.
