What's the current record regarding wins in a row, whether it's in a season or across numerous seasons? The way Vettel is going, he is looking most likely to win the next race which would be 8 in a row. And after that, he would have a chance to win the next race which would make it 9 in a row.

Most Consecutive Wins (Season)

Michael Schumacher: 7 (2004 Season)
Sebastian Vettel: 7 (2013 Season)

The Real Story of the Race was that the Renault's fell apart and the Ferrari's didn't.
Rosberg headed for the sliproad and retired, probably because of Nicotin starvation they have still not given him a helmet with a little hole in it.

Ascari also got 7 across 1952-53, which can arguably be considered 9 as he didn't compete in the Indianapolis 500 which was between his 7th and 8th wins.
