Nice find!

It's only after we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything.

i think what kimi did at abu dhabi last year was a lot more disrespectful than vettels reply.
also technically there's nothing wrong about his remark: there is indeed no point in discussing this during the race

I assume that you are refering to the 'Just leave me alone, I know what I'm doing!' comment.

The difference here is that Kimi was fighting for a win, and they disagreed on the best way to do it. Kimi found the constant radioing disturbing. It actually happens quite often that racers tell their crew not to disturb them. Vettel only pounds out fastest laps at the end of races for ego reasons. There is nothing to win, except perhaps spots in record books. To compound matters, him being able to slice 2 seconds off the best time after doing several laps really undermines Red Bull's campaign to portray the Pirellis as shite.

Kimi brought home a win in the fashion he found most expedient. Vettel risks wins, podiums and very expensive equipment for nothing, and exposes his team in a way that makes them look like idiots.

Montoya's radio transmissions from the Williams BMW days were some of the best

"Juan we've seen a dear, we think it's somewhere on the circuit, just come in cautiously please...
Oh dear...
Yes a dear, it's like a horse with horns
Yeah I know, oh dear oh dear"

And who can forget "@#$%& Raikkonen! What a @#$%& idiot!!!" ?

I remember this one. Absolutely brilliant.

You know, I've never even thought about that. It really does make them look silly.

I remember when they first introduced radio messages to the free-to-air broadcast, they played them live without any delay or editing. I think it was qualifying for the Turkish GP in 2005 when Webber was doing his one-shot qualy lap, when he came across a slow moving Sato at the chicane. Queue Webber blurting out live on television "WHAT THE %@£% IS SATO DOING?!?!?!"

Needless to say, never again did they broadcast radio messages live ;)
