Very disappointed in the Sutil appointment. What has he got to give that we haven't already seen? It's hard enough for new people to get on the grid with funding issues and drivers hanging around for longer careers, and it felt like Sutil's own career came to a natural end when he glassed someone.

He is not the best driver out there for sure and better ones were available but he is still a solid driver and did beat Di Resta whose seat should be questioned maybe even more than Sutils.Anyways Force India has ok pairing that will collect points but they are maybe the most boring line up.

Well he beat Di Resta in 2011 so you could argue that Paul's the lucky one to survive!

A dull signing by Force India.

Still, I think Red Bull, Monster Energy and Burn are going to have to look over their shoulders...because Capri-Sun are back!

Whilst i agree to a certain extent about the new drivers, (Valsecchi the GP2 champion has no race seat :() plenty of younger drivers have been, and are being given the chance without doing much to merit it. Chilton has done nothing to earn his seat, same could be said for Van Der Garde, D'Ambrosio, Pic...
I expect Sutil to beat Di Resta this season.

I've never rated Sutil, at least not comparable to the likes of current circle of winning drivers. However always been a consistency safe pair of hands (except if your name is Lux) and his form in the second half of 2011 was actually relatively impressive. Of he beats di Resta again this year then Paul is in trouble.

Which probably means Ferrari are paying them a nice healthy sum...

...and although I'm jumping to conclusions a bit, could this mean Ferrari engines for Marussia in 2014?

Agreed Jim. While the points come out very favourably in Sutil's favour in 2011, I think the general consensus was that di Resta showed far more promise long term than Sutil. If Sutil is level pegging with di Resta this season, after a year out, then it doesn't bode well for Paul. This after the talk that he was on his way to Mercedes to replace Schumacher for 2012.

That's not jumping to conclusions, that's simply taking the facts and coming to a logical situation and it's a link I made the day Glock was dropped.

Whatever happens, this year's testing is even harder to read into than normal and therefore this season *should* be very exciting, maybe more so than 2012... But expect Red Bull, Ferrari and a couple of other teams to break out after a few races.

Also, I will once again be commenting throughout each GP weekend on Twitter - and this year I also have a Facebook page (founded in October, but useful nonetheless!)

Nice picture of all 2013 helmet liveries:

Maybe it is also somehow useful for gp4..

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

Gutierrez's has a touch of the Bourdais to it, but I do like it! A pity the white stripe has returned to the Ferrari helmets as that has ruined the look a bit

The FIA has blocked Pirelli from tweaking the tyres to satisfy the demands of Red Bull. The tyres may only be tweaked to fix the delamination issues.
