2012 European Grand Prix Thread ***SPOILERS***

Nothing wrong with Alonso's celebrations he needs fuel in the car after the event.

What a great Podium....it almost felt like F1 again seeing all that emotion, and those guys there.

What an odd event.

You really can't read, can you?

It's only after we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything.

Who should expect random person to be able to read F1 rules if even FIA cannot do it properly.. ;)

I think it would be wrong to punish Alonso, but these rules have to be rewritten if celebrating and wasting time in this way is really ok. I can already see someone doing same as Alonso and FIA giving penalty for it with some randon excuse.

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

Penalty for Maldonado - 20s time pen. So that drops him to 12th instead of 10th.

Right party got penalised but no consolation for Hamilton.

I think Maldonado is one of those who should have already got bigger punishment for being always in this kind of situations. He have already deserved to be banned for at least one race.

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

Am pleased he got the penalty but today in that move we saw the lewis of old, why not just let him go and finish 4th for me it was a silly move by Lewis.

Alonso now have a nice gap at the top and tbh he deserves it this year anyway.

Each driver has driven and won for Ferrari, so close to being 3 Ferrari champions, as it is there were 8 Ferrari championships on the podium.

Each driver has driven for the Enstone team with Renault engines, 2 of the winning races and championships for them, 4 Benetton/Renault championships on the podium.

2 drivers to have raced and won races for Mclaren, all 3 of them have raced Mercedes engines.

Each driver has at least 1 championship each, with a total of 10 between them.

Quite a podium!

Today i lost all respect for Red Bull, particularly for Vettel as a German i can only shake my head when I read these statements.

Helmut Marko/Sebastian Vettel Red Bull Conspiracy Theories

Bad Losers

The Real Story of the Race was that the Renault's fell apart and the Ferrari's didn't.
Rosberg headed for the sliproad and retired, probably because of Nicotin starvation they have still not given him a helmet with a little hole in it.

it's a shame but the truth is, for the first time in a while, Williams has a faster car than both it's drivers.
Maldonado puts it up there but he can't bring it home, how many points has he waste now?, does he still thinks that's acceptable?
and Senna just cruises every race and still finds the way to get in trouble.

Vettel attacked the Race Stewards sharply.

Saftey Car'' For Vettel firm intention of the race organizers *to Ruin his Race*: "I think the reason is clear why the safety car came, for Vettel and Marko the Saftey Car and the Stewards are to blame for his DNF

Marko: Perhaps you can see it like this: Vettel was too far forward, and the Stewards wanted to bring the field closer again

Embarrasing.

ANOTHER race I missed live... just finished watching and... wow. I put it on expecting to fall asleep to it.

Was that the best race ive ever seen? It's damned close!

What's to say except one thing? Alonso is... the best. Alonso is amazing. Honestly probably deserves to be in the top 8 of greatest all time drivers. Fantastic driver.

Also, Lewis v's Pastor. I do think Lewis should have given more room, but he did not have to. A penalty was correct though, Pastor and Bruno certainly are doing their best to try wreck any chance of Williams doing well. How many points have they lost, as opposed to points lost due to team error?

Button, said his pace was okay. Ermm, yeah compared to the Caterhams!!!!

Grosjean schooled Lewis, that was epic.

"Trulli was slowing down like he wanted to have a picnic" LOL
F1 Official: Mercedes' Michael Schumacher, who finished third, was also investigated for allegedly using his DRS under yellow flags, but stewards decided he had slowed sufficiently and deemed no further action necessary. (Y)

Cant blame Vettel for his reaction... Did all the Donkey work.. so to speak...

Hamilton has a more mature run this season...

But Hamilton being taken out like that was disgusting.. First a faulty pitstop....

Ad then a 3rd place to be ruined by Pastor... And he gets only a 20 sec penalty...

Should have banned him for the next race...

As far as Alonso... Now when was the last time he was this aggressive.. Super stuff.. Cant take this win away from him...

I'd like to think that I'd have done exactly the same as Lewis in that instance, but it was a bit silly looking at the championship. Some of that frustration that the steering wheel took from his fists I detected was at putting himself in a position where he could be pitched off the track.

The penalty was entirely justified though.

The safety car was inevitable though. Vergne was an idiot.
