Very big of Honda to pull of out of Le mans for economic reasons related to the recent disasters. A big 'big up' to them IMO.

The only thing however that would be better than the ARX-01e racing would be a surprise return by Dome, but thats me dreaming :p

A shame we wont see the HDP race but it would never have beat the Audi's or Pug's but should have comfortably been the quickest petrol car IMO.

The upside to Highcroft pulling out is the first reserve car to come in is the Kronos Lola Aston, which means that glorious Aston Martin V12 will see 1 more year of action.

Yup! Still, experience is key for them. No doubt the car has been a complete failure, and PR disaster for them so far. Hopefully the Monza testing has gone OK and they will at least be able to finish at Le mans.

I hadn't noticed that, that is a pity.

Well, it's not a surprise or pity imo. There are no legal Lambos got the GT class at the moment, and JLOC never deserved a spot any way. Bit like T2Ms poor LMP attempts.

Every car this year deserves its slot, apart from the AMR-Ones, which are just ridiculous.

The surprising thing about it all is that problems seem to be Prodrive related...

Still, all in the purpose of learning. It's a 3 year program. It has started pretty bad but we should let them get through the first stage.

Dumas just T-Boned the Gulf AMR Vantage pretty hard down at Mulsanne corner. Both of them will be done for the night, will have to wait and see what condition the Vantage is in tomorrow. The Audi should be repairable.

haha, youre right. AMR-one is a joke. I was just looking at the qualy times and the car isnt even 2sec faster from GT cars. Usually new models are faster than older or atleast they can follow them but this is a racing joke, they need to scrap this car as soon as posibile.

Gunning for a Bourdais/Pagenaud win simply because Simon is awesome!!

Looks like I will miss much of the race :(. Why do family have to have important events during the most important race weekends of the year?

That was an extremely scary crash. More so for the photographers and marshalls than for McNish probably, but still great to see Allan get out of the car.

Thankfully it happened in 2011, as the fin and Audi's closed cockpit seem to have done their job.

Another horrendous accident for Audi. Rocky is ok, but the car is even worse than Allans, and the armco on the Indy kink is destroyed.

First time i've actually shown an interest in Le Mans and its quite an interesting race i have to say. Nasty accidents for both the audi's overtaking the slower cars, but the last car looks like he could well go on and win this race, the audi's have some pace. Below LMP1 i haven't kept much track ;)
