Revolution are withdrawing at the end of the season. We'd like to thank Connor and Matt for their efforts and also Rod for running the series, but with other stuff on my agenda I feel it fair to let someone else have their spell in the spotlight next season.

Tyrant Motorsports To Be On The Lookout For A New Title Sponsor For Season 9?

Latest rumours over the last few days point to the possibility that Tyrant Motorsports current title sponsor, McDonalds, may be leaving the team at the conclusion of the season. Apparently McDonalds feel that the results are not good enough for proper exposure, and may be willing to sign on as sponsor for another team that is confirmed to be running in Season 9. When team owner Greg O'Brien was asked about his thoughts on the rumours, he didn't seem too fazed. "When we started our GPGSL-3 career last season, McDonalds were there to help us through the season. We managed to get some decent results (our best being a 1-2 result in one of the sprint races), but most of the time it was mechanical failures that put us out of races. Considering the results we managed last season, McDonalds have held high regards for us this season, but it seems we haven't been able to keep them happy. I can confirm that McDonalds have given us till the end of the season to try and improve on our results. After that, they'll let us know their decision." The question now is this: should McDonalds end up leaving Tyrant Motorsports, which team would they most likely end up sponsoring?

Victory in the sprint race for me is the only good thing to come out of this weekend. Both myself and Domenech had the pace to finish inside the top 5 in the full race, but we both threw it away by spinning off the track. We'll just have to take what we learnt and hopefully make improvements in the next race.
